At La Femme Apéro we like to use the word ethical fashion, similar to the french word "ethique " rather than sustainable. It feels like a more transparent and focused word to us.

What it actually means for La Femme Apéro:
We are committed to ethical manufacturing practices, working with a woman-owned factory in Turkey
that is regularly audited and ensures safety and fair wages for the workers (Oekotex standard).

We source all of our fabrics and trims locally to reduce our transport carbon footprint and we produce in small quantities.

We are working towards reducing pollution and waste while manufacturing by using certified recycled fabrics for our running qualities ( Our bubbly Sateen),
or fabrics with a recycled content (our Flame jacquard), or we buy from third party companies overproduced fabrics (our Soft Mesh).
Our suppliers are GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified. It's a third-party certification that offers the guarantee that the fabric's recycled content is genuine and traceable back to the original discarded plastic bottles, providing end-to-end traceability and transparency.

We use recycled packaging for our poly bags, and our mailers, wrapping tissue and branded stickers are compostable.

For the upcoming Spring Summer season, we are buying deadstock fabrics & are designing small quantity exclusive capsules.
